Marilyn
was born and raised in Charlotte, Michigan to Merl and Vada Kenney.
Marilyn was raised in a large family of seven children. In 1972,
she married Phil Parmelee. She has three sons, two
daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren.
Though
Marilyn was raised attending church, she did not receive Jesus as her
savior until she was married and pregnant with her first
child. Marilyn’s relationship with God is a deep and
personal one. She believes that it is every believer’s right and
privilege to know God in a very intimate way. While attending
college with her husband, she became distracted with the cares of
three children and subsequently was unable to complete her studies.
This in no way disqualifies her as an effective teacher of
the Word of God. Through years of serious trials and
tribulations, she has developed an understanding that only “street
knowledge” can teach a person. Marilyn flows in a prophetic call
with an apostolic understanding that touches the minds and
spirits of the current churched member, as well as those not yet
reconciled to God. For over five years, she sat under the dynamic
teachings, prophetic revelation and ministrations of the Prophet
Kim Clement in Detroit, Michigan at the New Life Christian
Center, led by Pastor and Apostle C.L. Johnston. This has changed
her life and the lives of her family, as well as the local
church body. Proclaiming the dynamic truth of Kingdom Living, she is
truly one of the “Millennium Warriors.”
Marilyn
is the author of “Hearing God’s Voice for Yourself…A Beginner’s
Guide". She has ministered in Guatemala with a church group and
has taken teams to Ghana, West Africa, where she helped to
start four churches with Maranatha Power Mission. Marilyn holds
workshops on “Hearing God’s Voice”, as well as on the prophetic and has
taught at a local “School of the Prophets”.
